Spring has Sprung...

From new experiences and opportunities, to new friendships, to the flowers and the trees, it seems everything around me is showing signs of newness and growth.  With optimism I look forward to the year ahead.

We have enjoyed the unusually warm temperature we have had this week.

Life Is A Highway...

 In cold snowy weather even something as simple as painters tape can be a best friend to a mom and her boys...

I wish I could claim ownership of the idea, however, it is not mine, but one I found on Pinterest.  All I did was roll out the tape all over the living room (over and under the furniture).  This allowed imaginations run wild.  

 Look closely and you will notice we even included the first letters of their names into the roads.

 After a little while my 4 year old asked if we could make traffic signs for their highway.

 They are not shown, but we later printed signs off the computer and used those.

The boys traveled the world that day.

These are moments to remember!!

New Beginnings

A couple of months ago a brilliant photographer and friend of mine asked if I would make a wedding cake as a prop for table she was going to have some of her photographs on display at a bridal show.  Here is the final product.

This is something I do not think I would have attempted otherwise.  It was so much fun!  Thanks for the gentle nudge to attempt something out of my comfort zone.

Since this was a small cake, I also included mini cupcakes in the same vintage wedding theme.
